We Dropped Anchor on Summer With Our "Seas the Day" Dinner

Our summer seems to be sailing away so quickly, so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to SAIL-ebrate this time together! So welcome aboard the SS Confetti Affairs!

Our Captain's table was in ship shape with an ample supply (as usual...translate as "EXTRA") of all things nautical! We saw the blue and white striped tray at The Market At 76067 (one of our new favorite shops!) while shopping in Mineral Wells and knew it would make the perfect centerpiece! Our love for seagrass woven baskets began when we honeymooned in Charleston, SC, and bought some from the City Street Market. The seagrass overlay highball glasses and carafe from Kirklands and the woven chargers from Amazon were great additions to our collection! We found the blue whipstitch napkins at Kirklands as well and had them monogrammed for the event. We added nautical dishes, anchor place card holders, watercolor place cards, and faux bamboo cutlery (we found our set years ago at Target) wrapped in anchor and striped ribbon completed our tablescape.

Tablescape Tips:

#1. We adhered the white rope to the stems of our goblets with a drop of low temp hot glue and added a small painted wooden anchor. The glue came right off after the event and didn't damage the glass.

#2. Even for small, intimate events, we want our guests to take home a bit of the festivities, so we have a favor at each place setting. For our SAIL-ebration, we had cellophane bags filled with red and blue wrapped chocolates and tied up with anchor ribbon and a small wooden anchor.

#3. Of course it wouldn't be a Confetti Affairs event if we didn't CUE THE CONFETTI, Y'ALL...so we did! And you should as well! Confetti is the perfect finishing touch for any party of event!
